An aging man living in a desert motel is drawn into " 7 Steps to Heaven ", a mysterious televised program promising passage to paradise. Taken to a strange wellness institute where care, spectacle, and death begin to merge, he drifts through visions of blue oceans, funerals, and fading memories, while the image of his grandmother leads him toward a final departure.
